Canada's Power of Veto
Holding this week's special Power of Veto, faithful Big Brother viewers voted to save Suzette Amaya, the support worker from British Columbia.
This, much to the chagrin of the Head of Household: Tom Plant.
"Thousands and thousands of Canadians have been voting online," announced host Arisa Cox to the stunned houseguests. "That's right. This week, Canada has a POV."
"I am grateful Canada kept me here. I love everyone here. I have no negative feelings towards anyone," said a thankful Suzette when she had time to process the good news.
Over the commercial break, Tom huddled with Quattro Alliance mate Emmett Blois in the storage room as he decided on a replacement nominee.
"This is by far the s******t thing I have ever had to do in my life and I am probably going to lose one of the great friends doing this but Aneal, sorry bro, I have got to put you up," said a visibly despondent Tom who had been gunning all week to get Suzette out of the game.
Nominees AJ Burman and Aneal Ramkissoon were given the chance to make one final plea to stay before the voting began.
"The drama never stops, huh, kids," joked AJ. "I just want each and every one of you to know that I have grown to love each and every one of you. Vote with your heart."
A flustered Aneal asked everyone to do the same thing: vote with their conscience.
"Do what you have to do. I was glad to get to know each one of you guys. This has been an awesome experience," he said.
Once the votes were tallied, Aneal was evicted. Jillian MacLaughlin and Liza Stinton were the only votes for him to stay but in reality, they might have been Phantom Votes to once again, stir up trouble in the house.
"Did you see THAT coming?" Cox asked a stunned but accepting Aneal on the Couch of Shame.
"No, not at all," he responded. "I got double back-doored, I guess you could say."
Looking back, Aneal believed being such a huge fan of the series clouded his perspective of the game at times. He was disappointed to be leaving but glad he was able to live out his dream of being on Big Brother.
"I made it. Ten thousand people wanted to be here. I am proud of myself."
Emmett won the Bee's Knees Head of Household Competition and was hopeful his loved ones were proud of him.
"This one is for all my friends and family watching back home. I really wanted to take a big win back home to them," he told Cox.
